New Open Fit Hearing Aids

The new open fit hearing aids are the latest in hearing aid technology.  Most people discover that they are the most comfortable hearing aids they have ever used.  Most of the open fit hearing aids incorporate the "receiver in the canal" technology.  A nearly invisible wire goes from the reciever to a very small unit behnd the ear.  The casing behind the ear comes in many different colors to match either the skin tone, hair color or even the color of their eyglasses if they wear them.

There is usually no need for a custom ear mold.  The small receiver is held in the ear with a very small soft bulb.  The bulb is perforated around the perimeter so the patient's voice does not resonate in their head.  Also, chewing noises are greatly reduced.

There is no need to purchase hearing aid batteries with most models.  They usually come with a small charger that the user places the hearing aids into each night.  A small remote control may be used to change volume and change programs in the hearing aids.  This allows the user to make ajdustments in their hearing aids in public without anyone knowing what they have done.
